This page explains which data we process when you visit this website or use the Wisetrail app, why we do so, and what rights you have. This is a translation; the German version is legally binding.

This website

When you open this website, our server processes technically necessary data: IP address, time, requested address and the details your browser sends. We need them to deliver the site and to protect it against misuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not analyse them or combine them with other data.

The website sets no cookies, uses no tracking and loads nothing from third-party servers; we serve the font ourselves.

If you write to us, we use your message and email address only to answer your request.

The Wisetrail app

So that you can learn with Wisetrail, we process the following to perform the user agreement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR):

–

your name, email address and chosen avatar,

–

your membership in organisations and groups,

–

your learning progress: which lessons you worked on and completed, learning time, answers to exercises and results,

–

your conversations with the AI coach,

–

a session cookie that keeps you signed in (technically necessary).

You are learning with an AI

The coach in Wisetrail is not a person but an artificial intelligence (Art. 50 of the EU AI Act). Content created by an AI is labelled in the app. The AI can make mistakes and does not replace your trainer.

What trainers see

Trainers of your group see learning progress and key figures such as progress, learning time and accuracy, plus submissions you hand in deliberately. They never see your conversations with the coach, your free texts to the AI or your individual answers.

Service providers

We use the following service providers to operate Wisetrail and provide its AI features:

Hetzner Online GmbH: servers and databases in a data centre in the EU,

–

Mistral AI SAS (France): the coach’s language model, text recognition in documents and speech-to-text for voice input; we do not store voice input,

–

ElevenLabs: speech output for lesson texts and the coach’s answers,

–

our email provider for sign-in codes and notifications.

Retention

We keep your data as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, we delete your personal data unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it.

You can delete your account in the app or email support@wisetrail.io from the address linked to your account with the subject “Delete account”.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. You can view your data in the app at any time and download it as a file.

You can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority: Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Wien, www.dsb.gv.at.
